This is the end of a very busy year and I need time to rest. I need time to reflect. This has been a year for us. My back surgery in June, one of the best things that I have done for myself, took me out of Hippie Momma's for a few months. During that time I felt a Peace that I have tried to keep with me. I felt Love from those who sent it, and a calmness that I try to remember always.
Hippie Momma also grew. I had so much catching up to do! I have new consignments that have been kept me busy. 2023 was overwhelming, at times a little anxiety producing, and absolutely the best year that we have had. As I reflect back, I have learned so much. I have learned more about business, supply and demand, what has been working and what has not been working, and what direction I want Hippie Momma to go in. This month has been about cleaning out, inventory, making product and a new consignment. I am very optimistic about this year. Hippie Dad has a new job, so he will be home more. Hippie Kid has also gotten a new job, so you can expect to see more of her this year also. My products will be available in 5 shops, and I am working on a few more.
This has been a year of personal growth as well. I have had to say good bye to some people and welcomed others. I have accepted that I have to do somethings that I would rather not and I had made space to do more of the things that I love. Accepting that I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and all that goes with it and learning true self care has helped me tremendously. This has allowed me the energy and courage to move forward to follow my dream of making Hippie Momma something special.
My products continue to grow and improve. I have listened to you and I know that you want a more natural approach to skin and personal care. You also want products that multi-task to make self-care a bit easier. I have been doing a lot of R&D and soon I will be bringing you better face care products. I have gotten many requests for body butters, so I have brought them back. And, coming this spring, I will have a line of mom and baby products that are natural and gentle for new baby skin.
I will also be doing aromatherapy consults at some of my shops. (consignments) These will be mini sessions to introduce you to how plant medicine can fit into your life. I am hoping to start this in the early spring.
